Australian Open 2010 Results: Federer Wins Against Hewitt
The current number one ranked pro tennis player, Roger Federer, was able to outplay his Australian rival, Lleyton Hewitt in the quarter final round of the Australian Open 2010. Federer won three straight sets with the following scores, 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4.
With this win, Federer advances to the next round. He will be facing the Russian tennis player, Nikolay Davydenko, who has had Federer’s numbers in the past. Davydenko defeated Federer in their last two matches. Will Federer turn the momentum on his side?
Nikolay Davydenko was a runner-up at the 2008 Tennis Masters Cup. The year after that, he won the 2009 ATP World Tour Finals. He also became the second player to defeat both Rafael Nadal (ranked number two in the world) and Roger Federer (number one) in a similar tournament.
