The sweet rivalry between the Syracuse Orange and the Georgetown Hoyas continued when the two teams clashed last night. The Hoyas got off to a good start by opening the game with a 14-0 run. But the Orange players regrouped and worked on their fastbreak, managing to grab the lead at halftime, 34-29. Kris Joseph was a key element at the early portions of the game by sinking in 5 points. He was also the central player in the 11-0 Syracuse run at the end of the half.

Tim Tebow Injury

The quarterback from Florida, Tim Tebow suffered a head injury after being hit on the head while being sacked during the third quarter of the Gator’s vs Kentucky game at the Commonwealth Stadium last Saturday.

Tim Tebow injury was caused when he was sacked by Taylor Wyndham of Wildcats. Tebow didn’t see Wyndham coming and he was hit directly on the chest. Tebow fell hitting the back of his head on to Marcus Gilbert’s knee. Tebow was rushed to the UK Medical Center by an ambulance. Check out ESPN for more Tim Tebow Injury updates.

Todd Duffee sets a new UFC record by defeating Tim Hague in just 8 seconds. Duffee countered Hague’s hook with a straight jab that dropped the 260 pound heavyweight and from there Duffee rained powerful blows that ended the fight. Eight seconds is the new time to beat. Nogueira Defeats Couture

Antonio Minotauro Nogueira is definitely back when he defeats the UFC Hall of Famer, Randy Couture. It was a great battle that will surely be one of the memorable fights not only in UFC history but in the whole mixed martial arts history. Randy Couture went out with his boxing offense but Minotauro got the better of the striking game, dropping the Natural twice on the mat. Couture demonstrated resilience by surviving the choke attempt and the flurries of Nogueira. Minotauro said he would like to get another shot at the heavyweight title, currently being held by Brock Lesnar. On the other hand, the 46-year-old Couture said he is still willing to fight and he’s getting better than ever.

Nogueira defeats Couture on UFC 102. That is the main buzz today. But don’t forget the other fights. Other maches that took place was the knock out win by Tiago Silva over Keith Jardine. This win by Silva propels him back to the upper echelon of the light heavyweight division. Nate Marquardt was also victorious by knocking out the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sensation Demian Maia.
